The Art of Revelry Entry: Lunar Vayne

Contest entry for the League of Legends The Art of Revelry contest. Lunar New Year-themed. I just got a Wacom Bamboo and I had a friend teach me the in and outs of painting with Photoshop. It was addicting as hell. I slowly got the hang of it and had fun mimicking styles (for instance, Okami and Japanese and Chinese ancient paintings). This is my first time actually painting with a tablet. All that other stuff in my gallery? Mouse/non-pressure sensitive tablet work. Tablet made so much work so much easier.

This is Vayne. From League of Legends. I don't know, I never played the game. But she was one of the few females who wore glasses, and the aviators were a MUST. So I chose to draw her. Created the outfit from scratch, with help from another friend. I really like the background, but putting so much detail into Vayne and not the background makes it seem incredibly rushed.
